Well I am an existing AHMS. I am not behind or late to my mortgage yet. However, Making Home Affordable Loan Modification program seems a bit skeptical because if you owe more than what is worth today, then what happens down a road when a property values actually goes up? Do I need to pay the difference to AHMS or is AHMS going to eat that cost? Yes it sounds good if I can lower my monthly cost since FL is now mandatory to have HO6 insurance that is costing me a lot too.
